Our Day Trip Itinerary

Our day trip to Cotopaxi National Park begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Quito. We will then drive south to the park, stopping along the way to admire the stunning views of the Andes Mountains. Once we arrive at the park, we will visit the visitor center to learn about the history, geology, and ecology of the park.

We will then embark on a hike to the José Ribas Hut, a mountain refuge located at an elevation of 4,864 meters (15,958 feet). The hike is challenging but rewarding, and the views from the hut are simply incredible. We will be able to see the snow-capped peak of Cotopaxi volcano, as well as the surrounding paramo ecosystem.

After our hike, we will make a stop at Laguna Limpiopungo, a beautiful lake located at the foot of Cotopaxi volcano. The lake is a popular spot for birdwatching, and we will be lucky enough to see a few Andean condors soaring overhead. We will also take some time to relax and enjoy the stunning scenery.

As the day draws to a close, we will make our way back to Quito. We will drop you off at your hotel, leaving you with memories of an unforgettable day in Cotopaxi National Park.
